Bouknadel, Morocco

The following photographs and commentary were contributed by Darian Paganelli (Pag) who served at Bouknadel, Morocco. He can be contacted at dpanop3698@sbcglobal.net.

The first four slides are of La Plage Des Nations (Bouk Beach for all of us Navy types who flocked down there when it got to 100 degrees F and it burned the bottoms of your feet to walk on the sand).

Above and below, from the edge of the water, two views, looking toward the restaurant at the base of the hill.

From the entrance/exit road leading out of the beach area, toward the south.

Looking toward the North, from the entrance/exit road from the beach. At the lower right is the blue restaurant on the beach.

Just the sand and the water around the center of the beach area.

Base at Bouknadel, Morocco, the Green VW microbus is the special services bus we used to rent and drive all over the country to sight see with.

Front of the enlisted quarters, chiefs quarters and chow hall, not shown in picture at the left. You can just see a part of the new enlisted barracks built to the right.
