The base was home to a blimp squadron (ZP-14) that patrolled the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea.


Football game, January, 1944. Building at the top of the hill and in the background, was the french barracks. To the left of that building and on the left side of the road were the American PX and Post Office.

Crew of the base parachute riggers division at their beer party (3.2?). Man wearing the pith helmet was the Division Chief Warrant Officer.
